Welcome back, everyone, to the second newsletter! If you've been keeping up with the last few posts I've made on here, you'll have gotten a sneak peek at some of the primary characters in my upcoming novel The Selected, with introductions to our main protagonist Matt Stack and his friends, twins Steve and Alex Foley. In case you missed those posts, check out the links to view each one's respective reveal post!

So to commemorate this month's newsletter, I've got THREE new characters to introduce to you all! And that's not all ... I also have a special sneak peek at the next installment in the Tales of the Strider. So, without further ado, let's get into it.

The Selected Character Reveals

Somewhat a celebrity at Thomley High School, Jamar Jackson is not necessarily appreciative of his popularity. With his father being the school's basketball coach, he has inherited his father's love of sports, but he also has other aspirations that clash somewhat with the sports life, but he feels ashamed to let his father down. Because of this, he is a bit of a loner at school, neglecting social activity to mull over his thoughts, making him a bit of a stranger to most students. However, whenever chaos runs throughout Thomley, Jamar must trust Matt, Steve, and their friends as things begin to shift in stability.

One of Matt and Steve's closest friends, Antonio Varasso is one of the most relaxed and comfortable students at Thomley High, aside from Matt himself. He never really loses his temper and often occupies himself with an assortment of hobbies if he's not busy hanging out with his friends. Really, though, whenever he's not at school or with friends, Antonio works at his family's local pizzeria, Varasso's, doing different odd jobs.

The youngest of Matt and Steve's friend group, Danny Woo boasts the most wisdom and book smarts of the group. A whiz in almost all school subjects and in the handling of different forms of technology, Danny is the type of kid that becomes most popular right before a big test at school. He also is very literal in his communication, making him an ideal target for Steve and his sarcastic sense of humor -- much to Danny's chagrin.

And there you have it, the next three main characters in The Selected! These round out the main cast of kids, so next week's character reveal will feature our first grown-up character, so stay tuned for that, as well as future character reveals for the remaining cast members!

Well, it appears that our second newsletter has come to its end. Hopefully you all enjoyed these looks into the next stories on the radar! The Hover-Rail Heist will be my next release, launching sometime later this year, with The Selected coming sometime later, possibly 2024. Stay tuned for all updates though, and for the next newsletter, which will drop on the third Monday of June! In the meantime, I will be releasing more character reveals for The Selected to keep you occupied.
