The Jonathan Tindle Newsletter - Issue 001 (April 2023)

the jonathan tindle newsletter

no. 001 (17 April 2023)

---

Well, it's been a little while, hasn't it? It's been well over a year since I last published anything here on The Writer's Blog, and I've been trying to figure out the best way to get back into writing things here for you all. A quick rundown on what this newsletter will be: on the third Monday of each month, I will release one of these newsletters. They will obviously vary in both size and scope based on how things are going with me. If I'm making a lot of headway on my work and there's a good bit to divulge to you all, then you can expect a rather sizeable newsletter! If, however, things are going slow, due to whatever circumstances, then it likely will be a rather slow month in terms of news.

Still, I want to make this newsletter into a regular thing that you can look forward to and expect some cool info about whatever it is I'm currently working on. It'll be a nice look behind the scenes at what's coming up down the pipeline, and it also gives me some more experience in writing! So as the inaugural issue of The Jonathan Tindle Newsletter, we've got a good bit to cover -- so let's jump right in, shall we?

Tales of the Strider: Episode 1 Physical Copy

You read that right -- the first episode of the Tales of the Strider will be getting a physical release! Right now, the plan is for a paperback version due to the smaller size of the story, but there might be a hardback release further down the line when more installments are added to the series' catalogue. Nevertheless, it is still an exciting thing to look forward to with a physical copy of the book in any capacity, and I'm beyond excited for it.

Unfortunately what's caused such a release to be put on the backlog for so long is what I guess you could call "technical difficulties," as I'm unable to access the original files of the manuscript so I'm not able to port them into a paperback format. I am in the process of copying it over into a new file, however, so it should be out sometime in the near future. Stay tuned, as I'll keep you posted on the actual release date whenever it is ready!

Tales of the Strider: Episode 2 is Coming Soon

While we're on the topic of Tales of the Strider . . . who's ready for a new adventure? That's right, Episode 2 is on the way! I'm in the process of getting things sorted out for the plot of the second episode, and from there, it's onto the drafting stage. The plan is for Episode 2 to be released sometime later in 2023, but, as I stated with the physical copy of Episode 1, I'll give you more concrete information on it as it becomes more solidified!

Until then, how about a sneak peek at the cover?

Tales of the Strider: Episode 2: The Hover-Rail Heist, coming later in 2023. Stay tuned for more info!

The Selected Character Reveals

Last, but certainly not least, is the part that I am most excited for. Previously, you'll remember I revealed the first full-length novel that I will release, the sci-fi horror adventure The Selected. I've been hard at work plotting out different storylines and developing the characters and world of the novel, and I'm ready to begin to share it all with you. While the novel itself is still a bit further down the road, it's about time to begin introducing you to the characters that you'll be following in the story.

Beginning May 1, I'll start to release character reveals that will introduce you to the main cast of characters of The Selected to help get you ready for the adventure to come.

In Closing

Well, it appears we've come to the end of the first newsletter! You've all got a good bit to look forward to, with both a physical copy coming of Episode 1 of Tales of the Strider and the release of Episode 2 not too far down the line, not to mention the beginning of the promotional stage of The Selected, so there's a lot to look forward to in the near future -- and this is only just the beginning. So stay tuned until issue 2 of the newsletter, I'll see you all then!

And, most importantly, thank you to everyone who read this and has taken the time to read my first story, it means so much to me that you've joined me in this adventure, and the kind words and feedback I have gotten mean the world to me.

Until next time. Goodbye!
